Mike Evemy and Sue Stebbing would like to thank the voters of Swindon for increasing the Liberal Democrat share of the vote in Swindon.

The results were:

North Swindon

Swing: 6.7% from LAB to CON

Michael Wills Labour 19,612 (43.7%) -9.2

Justin Tomlinson Conservative 17,041 (38.0%) +4.3

Mike Evemy Liberal Democrat 6,831 (15.2%) +3.6

Robert Tingey UK Independence Party 998 (2.2%) +0.3

Andy Newman Socialist Unity 208 (0.5%) +0.5

Ernest Reynolds Independent 195 (0.4%) +0.4

Majority 2,571 (5.7%)

Turnout 44,885 (61.0% of the electorate)

Anne Snelgrove Labour 17,534 (40.3%) -11.0

Robert Buckland Conservative 16,181 (37.2%) +2.8

Sue Stebbing Liberal Democrat 7,322 (16.8%) +4.9

Bill Hughes Green 1,234 (2.8%) +2.8

Stephen Halden UK Independence Party 955 (2.2%) +0.6

Alan Hayward Independent 193 (0.4%) +0.4

John Williams Independent 53 (0.1%) +0.1

Majority 1,353 (3.1%)

Turnout 43,472 (60.2% of the electorate)
